Request and challenge
A customer wanted to regain access to an online account and had been directed to the provider’s Japanese support team. They knew some Japanese, but could not comfortably manage the formal support conversation needed to explain the situation and work through the requirements. They wanted help understanding what the provider needed, responding accurately and identifying the steps they would have to complete personally. The aim was to move the request forward through the provider’s verification process.
What we did
CallButler contacted support and relayed its questions to the customer. The process developed into several rounds of verification: the first correspondence supplied was not the registration confirmation being sought, so the team clarified which record was needed. When the provider required the customer to send records directly by post, CallButler explained that step and continued following up through the review. After verification was accepted, the team clarified the replacement-email requirements and relayed the provider’s planned reset.
Outcome
The provider completed identity verification and agreed to change the registered email. The customer received the support team’s decision and the requirements for that next step. A request that had involved successive document checks and formal Japanese correspondence had reached an approved recovery step, with the provider’s planned action explained clearly.
