Request and challenge
Travelers visiting Beppu wanted a private family bath at Hyotan Onsen, a day-use hot-spring facility in the Kannawa area. They preferred an open-air setting and could be flexible about timing, but the bath’s facilities, session length and price all mattered. Reservations opened only a week ahead. The session allowance covered changing and drying as well as bathing, so they wanted to understand the time available. They preferred a longer session only if it did not cost more.
What we did
CallButler clarified those priorities and checked the available baths with the venue. Staff suggested an alternative with similar facilities and a cold plunge pool, which the travelers accepted. That bath was taken before the arrangements were complete, so the team secured another nearly identical option. CallButler also corrected the initial duration-and-price information and chose the shorter session in line with the travelers’ cost preference. With the reservation in place, the team passed on the early-arrival instruction and the warning that arriving more than ten minutes late would cancel it.
Outcome
A comparable private bath was reserved at the requested evening time, with the session length and price aligned to the travelers’ wishes. They had both the booking details and the arrival instructions needed for the visit. Although the first suggested alternative became unavailable, the final arrangement retained the practical features and budget preference that mattered to them.
