You’ve got your sights set on Comiket 105. The holy grail of doujinshi. The final boss of anime fan events.
Maybe you’re already planning your outfit. Maybe your suitcase is half-packed with merch space in mind. But there’s still one thing standing between you and the gates of Tokyo Big Sight:
How do you actually get in?
If you’ve already tried figuring it out, you know the drill: Early Entry, AM wristbands, PM wristbands, lotteries, colour codes, queues… and oh no, was that ID check real?! It’s like trying to decipher a puzzle straight out of Steins;Gate, but with more heatstroke risk.
Let’s be real — Comiket isn’t just any convention. It’s the convention. It’s where fan-made stories come to life, where circles you’ve followed for years sell their latest volumes, and where cosplayers go full isekai protagonist mode.
But even the most passionate fans can get tripped up if they don’t know how the ticket system works.
That’s where this guide comes in.
By the end of this post, you’ll know exactly what ticket you need, where to buy it, and how to survive entry like a seasoned con veteran. No second guessing. No wasted yen. No tragic anime-style misunderstandings at the door.
Let’s level up and get you inside Comiket 105 — minus the confusion, plus the hype.
Comiket isn’t just a convention. It’s a pilgrimage. It’s the ultimate boss fight for anime, manga, and game fans — and Comiket 105 is your next chance to join the party.
Held twice a year, Comiket (short for Comic Market) is the world’s largest doujinshi event, where tens of thousands of creators sell their own self-published works — manga, novels, games, music, art books, you name it. If you’ve ever dreamed of finding a parody crossover of Jujutsu Kaisen and Ghibli, it’s probably here.
Quick Details:
🗓️ Dates: August 16–17, 2025 (Saturday & Sunday)
📍 Location: Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo
⏰ Hours: 10:30am (Early Entry), 11:00am (AM Entry), 12:30pm (PM Entry)
Each day has a completely different lineup of artists and circles — so if you’ve got a must-see fandom, check which day they’re exhibiting before you buy your ticket.
It’s hot. It’s crowded. It’s absolutely worth it.
There are three main ways to enter, and picking the right one matters. Here's what you need to know:
Entry time: 10:30 AM
Best for: Hardcore collectors and doujin hunters
Price: ¥2,500–3,000 (~$17–21 USD)
How to get: Via lottery (already sold out for C105)
ID required: Yes — passport/ID must match the ticket exactly
No-shows, name errors, or lost tickets = no entry
Entry time: Around 11:00 AM
Best for: Fans who want to get in earlier without the lottery stress
Price: ¥1,210 ($8.35 USD) in stores / ¥1,331 ($9.20 USD) via eplus
How to get:
In Japan: Buy from Animate, Melonbooks, or Toranoana (from Dec 7)
International: Buy an e-ticket via eplus.jp and exchange for a wristband on-site
💡 eplus users: You’ll need to exchange your QR code for a wristband after 8:00 AM near the Rinkai Line station. You won’t be first in line, so don’t camp out!
Entry time: After 12:30 PM
Best for: Casual attendees or those arriving later in the day
Price: ¥440 ($3.05 USD) in stores / ¥1,000 ($6.90 USD) on-site
How to get: Same stores as above, or buy on-site (expect long lines)
One child (15 or under) can enter free with a ticketed adult.
Wristbands are day-specific and colour-coded. Buy the right one.
Once inside, you can explore all halls (East, West, South) — your ticket just controls which line you join.
Lost or forgotten ticket? No reissues. You’ll have to buy a same-day PM wristband.
Go to Animate, Melonbooks, or Toranoana (starting Dec 7).
Ask for a "Comiket 105 AM/PM Entry Wristband" — or show the listing on your phone.
Use eplus.jp to buy an AM Entry e-ticket:
Choose the correct day (Aug 16 or 17)
Pay by credit card
Bring your QR code to exchange on-site (after 8:00 AM near Rinkai Line)
⚠️ No refunds for any ticket — even if the event is cancelled.
Early Entry: 10:30 AM — ID check required
AM Wristband: 11:00 AM — queue depends on ticket type
eplus users: Exchange QR code before queuing
PM Entry: After 12:30 PM — chill entry, fewer crowds
if you thought pulling an all-nighter like a true anime hero would get you in early — think again.
❌ No overnight queuing
❌ No hiding in bushes like a stealth game NPC
❌ No "I was just resting here" excuses
It’s against the rules, it annoys the locals, and it could actually get Comiket shut down.
Be a good attendee — not a cautionary tale.

¥500 (~$3.45 USD) registration fee required
Changing rooms open from 9:30 AM for those with special cosplay early tickets (sold out)

“It’s what my character wears” doesn’t fly if it breaks the rules
Comiket 105 is chaos — the good kind. It’s sweat, sun, queues, and crowded halls bursting with creativity. But now? You’re ready.
You know:
Which ticket fits your plan
Where and how to buy it
What to expect on the day
How to cosplay without getting busted by staff
Whether you're a first-timer or returning for your next doujin loot haul, just remember: planning = power.
❌ Mismatched names on Early Entry tickets = no entry
❌ Lost or damaged wristband = no entry
❌ Buying resold tickets = instant regret
❌ “I forgot my ID” = tragic backstory unlocked
Charge your phone. Respect the rules. Bring your towel.
And once you're inside, surrounded by fans just as obsessed as you are?
It’s pure otaku bliss.
See you at Tokyo Big Sight.
